Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry can be used to improve your smile.  We take pride in our restorative work and always try to make fillings, crowns, implants, bridges, and dentures look as good and natural as possible.  We always match fillings in front teeth to the natural color of your tooth.

There are other tools in cosmetic dentistry we can use to improve your smile even if there are no cavities or broken teeth.  Sometimes people are born with teeth that they don’t like.  The teeth could be discolored from disruption in development, shaped in a way the patient doesn’t like, or crooked.

Orthodontics

Braces can be used to move teeth if they are crooked, spaced, crowded, or rotated.

Veneers

The appearance of teeth can be changed with veneers.  This can be done in office with composite resin bonding, or for an even more natural look, porcelain veneers can be made.  This can drastically change a smile to the shape and color desired.

Microabrasion

Sometimes teeth have discolorations on the surface from disruption in development.  This can result in chalky white spots or brownish spots.  Microabrasion can remove those spots off if they are less than .25mm deep.

Composite resin bonding

This material can be used to eliminate bigger or deeper spots of discoloration or decalcification on teeth.  The spot is drilled out and then filled in with composite that matches the rest of the tooth.

Whitening

We offer whitening strips of prescription strength.  For a more effective and thorough whitening we offer custom whitening trays.  A small amount of bleaching gel (carbamide peroxide) is put in the trays and then worn for 3 minutes a day until reaching the color desired.
